About

Hey there. I'm Andy. At Insight, I am committed to leveraging the power of different therapeutic approaches to foster healing and growth for individuals across all ages and backgrounds. With more than six years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, I aim to create a safe and supportive space for my clients. I use an integrative approach to meet your needs and facilitate pathways to insight. With degrees in psychology and therapy, I became a licensed mental health professional, using talk therapy and creativity as tools for self-exploration, expression, and reflection, along with my further training in sandplay therapy, sensorimotor therapy, and trauma-informed care. I provide a diverse range of therapeutic techniques tailored to each person's unique needs.

Phases of therapy

01

Intake

An intake appointment is typically the first session. During this appointment, we will work together to create an overview of your mental health, current symptoms, and any other relevant information. Topics include your family history, medical history, medications, life events, and more.

02

Ongoing sessions

Ongoing sessions are the regular appointments we have to discuss what's important to you and the progress toward your goals. These sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and provide a safe and confidential space for you to discuss their thoughts and feelings.

03

Reflection and wrapping up

Reflection and wrapping up sessions are an essential part of our work together. During these sessions, we review the progress made in therapy, discuss any challenges or setbacks, and identify areas for further growth and development. Wrapping up sessions are typically the final sessions of therapy, where we reflect on the overall experience and discuss strategies for maintaining progress and continuing personal growth outside of therapy.
